A new extension module has been added to
MyNews to manage an Internet publishing
system.
User can easily create articles, insert images, links and footnotes whithout knowing anything to HTML language. Articles can be published directly by the authors or be controled by moderators.
MyCMS requires at least MyNews 1.1.

The 1.1 version of MyNews adds some new
features and bugfixes. The most
important changes are:
MyNews handles templates with an URL that can be a RSS or Atom file instead of a HTML file. See the RSS page of MyNews for more information. MyNews handles news users registration from the public website.
MyNews architecture has been modified to
allow extension modules. The first
application is MyCMS,
a Content Management System to write and
publish articles in the MyNews website.

A new beta version (1.1b3) of MN perl
module has been released to handle Atom
3 urls in MyNews templates.
Additionnally, a new feature has been added to extract news date. If the date regex begins with '~' character, the 3 fields are switched (day - month - year instead of year - month - day).
MN 1.1b3 requires XML::Atom::Syndication
perl module to be installed.
