	1 MyNews architecture
	MyNews contains three different parts: a perl module called MN that will manage all data used by MyNews a perl script called mynews that will be used to scan websites a perl web based interface called mynews-www to access to stored news

	MyNews installation must be done in this order: Step 1: Installing MN perl module Step 2: Installing mynews script Step 3: Installing mynews-www interface

Testing your installation

If you passed the three steps of the MyNews installation, you can now test your MyNews site. For example, if your MyNews site is called mynews.my.domain, you just have to access to http://mynews.my.domain with your browser.

If your installation is OK, you will be prompted for your login/password. By default, only one user is created:

login: admin
password: mynews

It is strongly recommended for security reason to change immediatly the password of the admin user (see User manual).

Click on the
Admin
button. A summary page will display information about your MyNews server.
