User editor

Authors and moderators are simple MyNews users with special extra privileges. So if you want to create a new author, you have first to create the corresponding MyNews user. See the MyNews admin manual for more information.

The Author selector allows to add or remove author privilege to a user. If the selector is set to Yes, then you can select the sections in which the user is allowed to create articles in the Sections selector just under the Author selector.

The Moderator selector allows to add or remove moderator privilege to a user. If the selector is set to Yes, then you can select the sections in which the user is allowed to moderate articles in the Sections selector just under the Moderator selector.

If no user have the moderator privilege for a section, the section is considered as not moderated. In that case, any author can directly publish his articles.
